Health checking regularly is essential to ensure you can identify signs of ill health or the risks of the development of serious conditions. Identifying disease and danger early can allow you to provide early treatment, and most importantly preserve the health of your backyard flock. This on-site visit will examine key aspects of your set up and includes: Reviewing potential danger and predator problems Examination of coop safety / poisonous plants Review of flock behavior - how to identify what's normal Learn confident and safe handling Identify important chicken anatomy and learn what's normal Practical health check - what to look and feel for Poop - how to identify what's normal and potential illness Knowing when to worm and using the right treatments Using supplements to support health Lice and mite check Information on feeding, watering, general car Common illnesses. Review of the management system. Physical examination of hen health and condition. Appropriate bio-security practices
 Proper handling of eggs You'll gain the confidence to perform a basic health check on your own chickens! Questions are welcome and encouraged! 1 hour minimum on site visit at client's house in Pasadena, California or Joshua Tree, California (mileage billed additionally at $0.56 a mile outside of zipcodes 91103, 91104, 91105, 91106, 91107, 91001, 92285, 92284) Signed liability wavier required.
